METROPOLITAN SKIES

June 8, 2004: It was 2 hours before dawn when I made my way to West Orange, NJ for the event.
I arrived at 3:30am at the top of a mountain at Eagle Rock Reservation in West Orange, NJ to set
up my equipment in time, and to catch the sunrise on my laptop. I was armed with a Hydrogen
Alpha telescope that was mounted on my 10 inch LX200. I also have a white light filter for my
large scope. I was using a Meade LPI, Sony F717 and a laptop to capture the images below:
